Martino Gamper’s retrospective “Before, After & Beyond” filled the neoclassical interiors of an 18th-century London house with a tapestry of color, texture, and history. This project marked Gamper’s first full retrospective since his landmark “100 Chairs in 100 Days,” each room was carefully staged to explore the social side of furniture and its power to unite people.
Central to the transformation was Dedar’s textile artistry. The Italian fabrics covered several pieces throughout the installation, adding richness and elegance to Gamper’s reimagined works. From the music and games room to the intimate study and bedroom, the fabric selections helped weave together Gamper’s journey, from his early designs to the brand-new pieces explicitly created for this show.

The private home of interior designer Todd Raymond proves traditional architecture blends beautifully with curated modern interiors. The space reflects Raymond’s signature style, blending vintage and contemporary elements to create a refined, harmonious atmosphere.
The loft is filled with carefully selected pieces, from a 1950s Vittorio Dassi sideboard to a 1960s Guillerme et Chambron cabinet. Raymond preserved the classic shell with applied moldings and terrazzo finishes, juxtaposed against sleek, modern millwork in the kitchen, bathrooms, and bar—striking a thoughtful balance between warmth and simplicity.
With a neutral palette accented by green and cinnamon, the interiors feel open and airy, each piece placed for maximum spaciousness. Highlights include a unique table from a Madrid gallery and a woven flax linen tapestry crafted by Raymond himself. The result is a space that feels timeless yet contemporary, embodying Raymond’s vision for beauty and comfort in the city.
Todd recently sat down with @nydc to share insights into his design philosophy.
